In Review: District-wide Parent & Family Engagement Policy

For the 2017-2018 School Year, the School District of Philadelphia is considering revisions to its policy on parent and family engagement. The Parent and Family Engagement Policy is jointly revised annually with, and agreed on, by parents/guardians. The District is providing an opportunity to gather feedback about the proposed policy changes.

If you would like to leave feedback for the District on the proposed policy revisions, please review the policy document and complete the survey.

1.) READ THE POLICY.

Please take the time to review the current Parent and Family Engagement Policy. Please read the policy in its entirety, taking the time to make note of any sections you would like to see changed or removed. As you read the policy, please also keep in mind any sections you feel would be important to have added.

2.) TAKE THE SURVEY.

After reading the current Parent and Family Engagement Policy, please take the time to provide your feedback. A short survey has been created to capture your thought and suggestions. Thank you for your efforts in helping the district keep its policy updated.

3.) JOIN A FOCUS GROUP.

In addition to the feedback collected in the Survey, the FACE office will also be hosting parent focus groups to allow parents the opportunity to explain, in person, their thoughts on the current Parent and Family Engagement Policy and what can be done to improve it.
