Apply Now: Immigrant & Youth Summer Programs
Looking to improve your English literacy and math skills? The School District of Philadelphia will be hosting a Summer Program for Immigrant children and youth. Read on for more details!
Who qualifies for the program?
Participants must meet all of the following criteria:
Be an ESOL student from either a public or non-public school
Currently in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade
Be an immigrant student born outside the U.S. or its territories
Has lived in the U.S. for 3 years or less
Priority will be given to students at lower English language proficiency levels, proximity to program site, and recent arrivals.
When does the program take place?
The program will last from July 5 to July 28, 2017 and will take place Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 3:00pm.
Where does the program take place?
There will be two sites:
North site - Spruance Elementary, 6401 Horrocks Street, Phila., PA, 19149
South site - South Philadelphia High School, 2101 South Broad Street, Phila., PA, 19148
Students will be assigned to the site closest to their home.

How do students register?
The parent/guardian must fill out and sign an application form for the student. Find the application form here in multiple languages.
Applications must then be submitted to the student's ESOL teacher or school administrator. Applications are due to ESOL teachers or school administrators by Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Applicants will be notified of their acceptance to the program by Friday, April 21, 2017.
